El Cuyo Beach

The main beach stretches east and west from the village in long unbroken arcs of fine sand and turquoise water. Walk ten minutes in either direction and you will likely have it to yourself. The sand is soft, the slope into the water gentle, and the water clear enough to see your feet.

The eastern end, beyond the lighthouse, is the wildest stretch — dunes, the occasional fisherman's hut, and not much else. The western end has the village's small malecón, the cluster of palapa restaurants, and the pier. Pack water and shade: there is essentially no infrastructure once you leave the village.
