Casa Jaguar is a small jungle restaurant and cocktail bar a few steps from Hartwood, with a bar built into the trees and ten or so tables under a palapa roof. The cocktail menu leans heavily on mezcal — most worked into long drinks with tamarind, basil, charred pineapple — and the bartenders take it seriously.
The food is short and good, mostly grilled — octopus, lamb shoulder, fish of the day — but plenty of people come just to drink. Thursday nights are known for the resident DJs, and the place can spill into the small dancefloor late. Reserve for dinner; drinks at the bar are walk-up.
