The historic centre is walkable, but the streets are steep and the altitude is about 2,450 metres. Taxis are useful for the bus station and outlying neighbourhoods. The Teleférico is transport only in the most generous sense, but it is the most enjoyable way to cross from the mine area toward Cerro de la Bufa.
