Templo de Santo Domingo

Templo de Santo Domingo stands a short walk uphill from the cathedral, with a restrained exterior that gives little warning of the richly gilded altarpieces inside. It is one of the best church interiors in the historic centre.

Visit when the doors are open and linger over the side chapels. The church pairs naturally with the Pedro Coronel Museum next door, which occupies part of the same old religious complex.
