Sint Maarten's sights divide neatly between the Dutch south and the French north. The Dutch side has the airport spectacle at Maho Beach, the forts, and duty-free shopping. The French side has the better beaches, the best food, and the more relaxed atmosphere. Most visitors end up spending time on both.
