Playa Honda is the second swimming beach on Taboga, a short walk southeast around the headland from the main pier. It is smaller and rockier than Playa Restinga but consistently quieter — even on busy weekend afternoons it sees only a fraction of the crowd. The water is calm and good for snorkelling on the rocks at the south end.
A couple of small fondas (family-run kitchens) near the path serve fried fish and coconut rice for very reasonable prices. Bring a hat — there is no shade on the sand itself.
