Things to Do

Taboga is the kind of place you can see in a day but might want to stay longer. The little town clusters along the seafront below a green hillside dotted with bougainvillea and frangipani; the rest of the island is hiking trails, beaches, and a wildlife refuge full of nesting brown pelicans. Most visitors do the loop on foot: the old Church of San Pedro in the village, a climb up to the cross on Cerro de la Cruz for the view back over Panama City, then a swim on Playa Restinga.
