Getting Around

Most of Culebra is walkable from Dewey if you have time. The flat ride to Flamenco takes 20 minutes by bike, longer up the hills to Zoni or Melones. Several places in Dewey rent bicycles, scooters, and golf carts; carts are the rental of choice for most visitors. A small fleet of publico vans runs between Dewey and Flamenco for a few dollars, the only real public transport on the island.

Roads are rough and goats wander across them. There are no traffic lights. Driving etiquette is to wave at the other car as you pass.
