Gurabo is not a nightlife town, but it has what a small Puerto Rican municipality needs: a few no-frills bars around the plaza where you can drink a cold Medalla (Puerto Rico's local lager) or a rum with coconut water, and sit with whoever happens to be there. These are local places — not set up for visitors, not trying to be anything other than what they are. That's exactly what makes them worth stepping into.
There are no cocktail bars or craft beer spots here. What you'll find is unpretentious, friendly, and cheap.
