Nevis is reached from Saint Kitts by ferry (about 45 minutes from Basseterre, multiple crossings daily) or by a short flight to Vance W. Amory International Airport. Direct international flights from the US, UK, and Canada are limited; most visitors connect through Antigua, Saint Kitts, or Puerto Rico.
The ferry is by far the most popular option and very affordable — it costs a few EC dollars and the crossing gives good views of both islands. Taxis meet ferries and flights; there is no public bus service, but the island is small enough that a single taxi hire can cover the main sights.
