Lower Bay Beach

Lower Bay is the quieter, wilder continuation of Princess Margaret Beach further along the south coast. The sand is broader here, and the beach is backed by palms and sea grapes. On calm days the water is the clearest blue-green you will find in the Grenadines. On days when the Atlantic swell reaches around the southern point, there is a gentle surf.

Getting here on foot requires a walk over the headland from Princess Margaret Beach — about twenty minutes on a path through the hillside scrub, with good views across the sound toward Mustique and Canouan. The effort rewards with a beach that, outside of the December to April peak season, you may have mostly to yourself. A few beach bars serve food and cold drinks.
