The high season runs from December to April, when the weather is dry, hot, and breezy and the yacht scene is at its peak. Christmas, New Year, and Easter are particularly busy — book ferries, flights, and accommodation well ahead.
May to November is the rainy and hurricane season, but most days are sunny with short afternoon downpours. Prices drop and the island feels more local. September and October carry the highest hurricane risk; everything else is generally fine.
The Easter Regatta in early April is Bequia's main event — four days of sail boat races, model boat racing, and parties in Port Elizabeth — and is one of the most enjoyable times to visit. The Bequia Music Fest in late January is small but lively.
