At 48 metres, Flamingo Hill is the highest point on East Caicos and also the highest point in the entire Turks and Caicos Islands chain. The achievement is modest by most standards, but the panorama from the top — uninhabited coast, turquoise shallows, the distant profiles of South Caicos and Middle Caicos — is genuinely striking.
The hill is covered with low scrub and requires no technical skill to climb. It takes about 30 minutes from the coast on a reasonable day.
