Things to Do

East Caicos is for self-sufficient adventurers — there are no facilities, no guides, and no crowds. The rewards are an almost completely undisturbed ecosystem, extraordinary beaches, and the eerie atmosphere of the abandoned Jacksonville settlement.

Come prepared. Without water, food, and first aid you are not equipped to be here. The island has no residents and no infrastructure. What it has is silence, empty beaches, ruined buildings being reclaimed by the bush, and limestone caves that sheltered the people who lived here before Europeans arrived. It's one of the least visited places in the Caribbean precisely because it asks something of you.
