The dry season runs from November to May — sunny, warm (highs around 28°C), light trade winds, almost no rain. This is the peak season for visitors, divers, and humpback whales: the eastern North Atlantic migration passes within sight of Grand Turk in January, February, and early March.
Hurricane season runs from June to November, with the highest risk in September and October. The shoulder months (May, November) are still beautiful and substantially cheaper. The annual Conch Festival in late November on Providenciales draws many to the country; on Grand Turk itself the calendar is quieter, marked by the August Carnival.
