Dothan Opera House opened in 1915, when the city was growing fast and wanted a proper municipal auditorium for travelling performers and civic events. Its classical facade still gives downtown a bit of ceremony.
Check the schedule if you want more than an exterior look. Even from outside, it pairs well with the Wiregrass Museum of Art and the downtown murals.
