The National Peanut Festival is Dothan's big annual statement, a November fair built around the crop that made the city famous. Expect livestock, competitions, rides, food, entertainment, and a very local kind of agricultural pride.
Outside festival dates, the fairgrounds and peanut monument are not enough reason to detour. During the event, they are the clearest expression of Dothan's personality.
