Getting There

Prescott is about 160 km north of Phoenix. The drive takes around 90 minutes on I-17 north and then AZ-69 west into town. Interstate 17 passes through Cordes Junction; from there, AZ-69 climbs into the mountains through Mayer and Dewey before reaching Prescott.

Prescott Municipal Airport serves general aviation and a small number of commercial regional flights. Most visitors fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor and drive north.

Greyhound stops in Prescott on the Phoenix–Las Vegas route. The Yavapai Regional Transit system runs local and regional buses, though having a car makes exploring the forest and Granite Dells much more practical.
