Getting There

Phoenix Sky Harbor International (PHX) is the main gateway, about 15–20 minutes by car from central Scottsdale and one of the busiest airports in the United States. Almost every major US carrier flies in, with direct international service to London, Frankfurt, Vancouver, and several Mexican destinations.

Scottsdale Airport itself handles general aviation and charter flights — useful for private jets but not commercial passengers. By road, Scottsdale sits at the intersection of Loop 101 (the Pima Freeway) and Loop 202, with Interstate 10 a few miles south through Phoenix. There is no rail service to Scottsdale; the nearest Amtrak stations are at Maricopa (south of Phoenix) and Flagstaff.
