The San Francisco Giants have done their Major League Baseball spring training in Scottsdale every February and March since 1984, playing at this 12,000-seat ballpark a couple of blocks south of Old Town. Cactus League spring training games are an institution of the southwestern winter — cheaper, looser, and more accessible than regular-season MLB.
Even outside spring training season, the stadium hosts the Arizona Fall League — a development league with the very best MLB prospects on the field. Tickets are inexpensive and parking is plentiful in the surrounding Old Town blocks.
