Murray Springs Clovis Site

Ancient Clovis archaeological site linked to mammoth hunters in the San Pedro Valley.

Murray Springs Clovis Site preserves one of North America's important early archaeological landscapes. Nomadic hunters used this area around 12,000 to 13,000 years ago, when mammoths and other large animals still moved through the San Pedro Valley.

The site is managed as part of the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area. It is a quiet stop, best for travellers who like archaeology and desert landscapes more than built-up visitor centres.
