Ramsey Canyon Preserve is the clearest reason to make time for Sierra Vista. The canyon funnels migrating birds through oak, sycamore, and pine habitat, and more than a dozen hummingbird species have been recorded here.
The main trail is short and easy, with longer routes continuing into national forest land. Go early if you can: parking is limited, and the best bird activity usually comes before the day heats up.
