Things to Do

Tombstone's attractions are concentrated in a few walkable blocks of the historic district. The O.K. Corral reenacts the famous gunfight daily and includes a museum with artifacts from the Earp era. The Bird Cage Theatre, once the rowdiest venue in the West, is preserved almost exactly as it was in the 1880s — you can still see bullet holes in the ceiling. The Rose Tree Museum houses the world's largest rose tree, planted in 1885 and now covering over 8,000 square feet. Boothill Graveyard, just outside town, is free to visit and offers a fascinating look at who lived and died here. The Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park preserves the 1882 courthouse and its original gallows.
