Burlingame is a small, pleasant Peninsula city rather than a destination in itself, but it has a few genuine points of interest. The Pez museum is a quirky local institution, Coyote Point Recreation Area offers waterfront access on San Francisco Bay, and Burlingame Avenue provides a walkable commercial strip worth an afternoon. The city is most useful as a base for the Bay Area.
