Arlington Theatre

The 2,000-seat Arlington Theatre, built in 1931 in Spanish-Moorish style on the site of an earlier resort hotel that was destroyed in the 1925 earthquake, is the city's main concert and film venue. The interior is the spectacular feature: the auditorium is painted to look like a Spanish village square at night, with stars on the ceiling.

It is the principal venue of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival each February. Even outside festival season, catching a film or a live act here is the easiest way to see the interior.
