Brophy Bros. occupies the upstairs of the Santa Barbara Yacht Harbor and has been the city's go-to seafood restaurant since 1986. The clam chowder is justly famous; the seafood salad bowl, the cioppino, and the daily catch are all dependable. The deck looks down on the masts of the harbour with the Channel Islands beyond.
Reservations are not taken — put your name on the list and wait at the bar. The queue at weekends can be over an hour. Worth it once.
