Chumash Casino Resort

The Chumash Casino Resort is the largest casino on the California Central Coast, owned and operated by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Mission Indians — the same community whose ancestors lived in this valley for thousands of years before the Spanish missions arrived. It sits on tribal land at the east end of town, off Highway 246.

The resort has grown considerably since it opened in 1994 as a small bingo hall. Today it includes a full casino floor with slots and table games, several restaurants, a concert venue (the Samala Showroom) that draws national touring acts, and a hotel. It is one of the larger employers in Santa Barbara County.

3400 E. Highway 246, Santa Ynez. Open 24 hours.
