Downtown Hanford has a small but solid handful of restaurants — most clustered around Courthouse Square within easy walking distance of each other. The best are anchored to historic buildings: La Bastille in the old jail, Superior Dairy in its 1929 ice-cream parlour, and a scatter of taquerias and diners in between. For a town this size the standards are well above what you might expect.
