A Hanford institution since 1929. Superior Dairy makes its own ice cream on the premises and is famous for serving portions roughly twice the size most visitors expect — order a single scoop and you will not regret it. The interior is unchanged for decades, with red vinyl booths, formica tables, and pressed-tin ceilings.
A bowl of vanilla-bean ice cream here costs less than a coffee in a chain café and lasts longer than the rest of dinner. Located on the southwest corner of Courthouse Square.
