Pescadero State Beach is a rugged stretch of coast south of Half Moon Bay, with tide pools, surf, rocky coves, and good birdwatching. It works well as a deliberate stop on a coastal drive, especially when paired with nearby San Gregorio and Pomponio state beaches.
