Stevens Creek Trail is Mountain View's main off-street walking and cycling spine, following the creek corridor through parks, neighborhoods and toward the baylands. It is a practical route as well as a recreation path, used by commuters, runners and birdwatchers.
For visitors, the trail is most useful when linked with Shoreline Park, downtown Mountain View or a longer bike ride around the South Bay. It is not a dramatic wilderness trail, but it shows the city's greener side well.
