The most celebrated restaurant in Healdsburg, and one of the better farm-to-table operations in all of Sonoma County. Barndiva operates out of a converted barn on Center Street — the interior is relaxed and warmly lit, and the garden patio in back is one of the nicest places to eat in Northern California on a summer evening.
The menu changes with the seasons and the harvests: expect local lamb, Dungeness crab in winter, stone fruit desserts in summer, and vegetables that came out of the ground that week. The cocktail program is similarly seasonal and has a loyal following of its own. Reservations are strongly recommended; the outdoor tables in particular book up quickly in good weather.
Wine pairings lean local, with a list that prioritises small Sonoma producers you won't find elsewhere.
