For a city of its size, Fullerton has an unusually lively bar and live-music scene. The half-mile of Harbor Boulevard between Commonwealth and Wilshire is the main drag — a strip of brewpubs, dive bars, college bars, and occasional live music venues that fills up every weekend. The presence of Cal State Fullerton next door keeps the area young.
The historic Continental Room, a tiny bar in a 1930s building, is one of the best places to catch up-and-coming bands; the Slidebar Rock-N-Roll Kitchen mixes bar food with local rock acts. For coffee, the Magoski Arts Colony on Brea Boulevard combines a craft-coffee bar with rotating local art exhibitions.
