Elephant Packing House

The Elephant Packing House is a 1920s brick warehouse just south of downtown Fullerton, named for the Pacific Elephant Brand citrus label whose oranges were once sorted and packed here. After decades as a derelict industrial building, it was restored in 2011 and reopened as a small food and dining complex, with a brewery, a coffee shop, and several restaurants sharing the space.

The interior preserves the original brickwork and timber beams of the packing house, and the patios make for some of the most pleasant outdoor dining in town. It is a useful illustration of how Fullerton has reused its early 20th-century citrus-industry architecture rather than tearing it down.
