Chico's main attraction is Bidwell Park, one of the largest municipal parks in the United States, which stretches from the heart of downtown up into the oak-covered foothills along Chico Creek. The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company draws beer pilgrims from across the country. Downtown has a good independent-minded small-city energy thanks to Chico State, with galleries, a decent museum, and some excellent restaurants.
