The Bridgetender sits beside Fanny Bridge in a low wood building that has been a bar since 1976. The deck overhangs the Truckee River and is the place to be on a summer evening — beers, burgers, and the constant churn of the river below.
It is genuinely a local hangout despite its tourist-trap location. The crowd is a mix of off-duty ski patrol, raft guides, builders, and visitors who realise the riverside deck is the best seat in town.
