Jake's is the polished lakefront alternative to the Bridgetender — a long mahogany bar, white tablecloths, and an extensive cocktail list. The deck is directly above the water at the Boatworks Mall and is the spot for sunset drinks with a view across the lake.
It is part of a small Hawaii-based chain but feels rooted in Tahoe City; it has been here since 1978. The bar food (poke, ahi, calamari) is reliable; the fuller menu is more uneven.
