A network of mountain bike and hiking trails on the BLM land immediately south of Grand Junction, accessible from the edge of town. The trails run through typical Western Slope terrain: sandstone ledges, juniper and pinyon pine scrub, with views across the Grand Valley to the Book Cliffs on the north side.
Lunch Loops is appropriate for intermediate to advanced riders — the terrain is rocky and technical in places. The system connects to other trails heading south towards the Colorado River. For families or casual riders, the paved trail along the Colorado Riverfront is a better option.
