In winter Snowmass is about skiing — vast, varied, and rarely crowded for a resort of this size. In summer the same terrain opens up for hiking, mountain biking, and access to the spectacular Maroon Bells wilderness above. The village itself is small and walkable, with most of the lift- and trail-heads a short stroll from the rebuilt Base Village.
