Crystal River's main draw is the chance to swim alongside wild West Indian manatees in Kings Bay. The springs and waterways around town also offer kayaking, scalloping, and a genuinely impressive Native American archaeological site. The surrounding Nature Coast is one of the least developed stretches of Florida's Gulf shore.
