Riverbend County Park

Riverbend County Park is the gateway to the wild upper Loxahatchee River, about 10 km west of downtown Jupiter on Indiantown Road. The 684-acre park preserves a stretch of cypress swamp, pine flatwoods, and river floodplain that gives you a convincing sense of old Florida — the kind of landscape that covered most of this part of the state before development arrived.

The main draws are the kayak launch onto the Loxahatchee River and the network of multi-use trails through the flatwoods. Wildlife in the park includes osprey, great blue heron, sandhill crane, alligator, and river otter. Canoe and kayak rentals are available at the park, and a guided paddling tour through the cypress sloughs is one of the better half-day activities available in the Jupiter area.
