Zak Stern's bakery grew from a one-man delivery operation into one of Miami's most celebrated food destinations, with multiple James Beard nominations to its name. The Wynwood flagship is a bright, tiled cafe turning out long-fermented sourdough, rye, and challah alongside babka, croissants, and a short menu of sandwiches and breakfast plates built around the bread.
It is fully kosher and closed on Saturdays. Come early — the best loaves sell out, and the line for weekend brunch forms quickly. A few doors down, the related deli does pastrami and smoked fish for a heartier sit-down meal.
