Getting Around

A car is essential here. Lake City itself is a typical small Florida city — spread out, car-oriented, and without meaningful public transit for visitors. The major attractions (Ichetucknee Springs, Osceola National Forest, the Olustee Battlefield) are all outside town and require driving. The roads are straightforward and well-signed.
