The two essential day trips from Titusville are right next door. Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge sits across the bridge — a 140,000-acre refuge that wraps around Kennedy Space Center and contains some of the best wildlife viewing in Florida. Black Point Wildlife Drive and the Manatee Observation Deck are the standout stops.
The wider Space Coast — Cocoa Beach, Port Canaveral, and the Atlantic beaches — is 30 to 45 minutes south. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which is a full-day destination in its own right, lies between the two and is the official place to tour the launch facilities.
