Wager House

A two-story frame Folk Victorian home built in 1898 by Captain James Wager, an Indian River pilot. The Wager House sits a few blocks south of the commercial district and is one of the better-preserved residential survivors of the period. It is now privately owned and not generally open to visitors, but the exterior — original clapboard, gingerbread trim, wraparound porch — is visible from the street.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is part of the Titusville Multiple Property Submission that catalogues the city's surviving Victorian-era homes. A small group of these houses around South Washington Avenue makes for a pleasant 20-minute walk.
