The real draw for food in the Norcross area is Buford Highway and Jimmy Carter Boulevard — a stretch of suburban road lined with strip malls that contains one of the most diverse concentrations of international restaurants in the Southeast. Vietnamese pho shops, Korean barbecue, Chinese dim sum, Mexican taquerias, Salvadoran pupuserias, and Ethiopian injera restaurants sit in close proximity, most of them excellent and almost all of them cheap. This is not fine dining — it is authentic immigrant food served in utilitarian settings with low prices. It is one of Atlanta metro's genuine culinary distinctions.
