Historic Downtown Norcross

Norcross's historic district is a compact, walkable town centre with Victorian-era commercial buildings grouped around a small town green and park. The scale is human and the atmosphere is genuinely local rather than tourist-polished — there are antique shops, a few restaurants, and the Lionheart Theatre Company, a community theatre that has operated here for decades and has a reputation well above the usual local theatre standard.

The town green hosts events throughout the year, including a farmers market, outdoor concerts, and a much-loved July 4th celebration. The architecture along South Peachtree Street dates mainly from the 1880s to 1910s, and the buildings have been well preserved. It is a pleasant contrast to the suburban sprawl that surrounds it and makes a good starting point before heading to the Buford Highway food corridor nearby.
