Evansville's sights spread across the city. Downtown has the Victorian architecture of the Reitz Home, the Willard Library, and the Art Deco Hulman Building, plus the Ohio River waterfront. Angel Mounds, the best-preserved pre-Columbian site in the Midwest, is east of downtown and worth the drive. Wesselman Woods is one of the last old-growth urban forests in the country. In the evening, Haynie's Corner is where the independent restaurants and bars concentrate.
