Purdue Engineering Fountain

The Engineering Fountain on the Purdue campus is the traditional landmark and meeting point for students and visitors. A circular fountain surrounded by a broad plaza, it sits at the heart of the engineering precinct and is decorated with plaques honouring Purdue's alumni who became astronauts — a roster that includes Neil Armstrong, Gus Grissom, and Roger Chaffee.

The broader campus walk from the Memorial Union across to the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering takes about 30 minutes and passes through a coherent Mid-Century academic landscape. The Purdue University Art Galleries has free exhibitions in several campus buildings and is worth checking if there's a current show.
