Brunnier Art Museum

Decorative arts museum inside the Scheman Building at the Iowa State Center.

The Brunnier Art Museum is housed on the second floor of the Scheman Building, part of the Iowa State Center complex on the southeast side of campus. Founded with the donated collections of Henry and Ann Brunnier in 1975, it focuses on decorative arts: ceramics, glass, ivories, jade, dolls, and a strong group of Asian objects.

It is small by museum standards but well-presented and free, with rotating exhibitions that draw on the wider University Museums collections. A reasonable 45-minute stop, especially if you are at the campus for a performance or sporting event.
